My cynical take on all the companies leaving Andersen isn't that they want to avoid guilt by association - it's that they know Andersen won't be taking any risks going forward.

If you're going to keep your present accounting scams going, you've got to find someone willing to sign off on them. With all the light being shed on Andersen, you can bet they'll be the most conservative going forward.

Andersen has decades and decades of experience of not actually checking the books properly. It's had more out of court settlements then Skilling has denials. -g-

Tony B is going to catch lots of trouble unless he dumps them.

Looks like a "sell the news" day so far.
