You pretty much stated my views. I think that the fed is zoomin the investing public since the monetary policy wasn't working to slow the decline. The fed is obviously being somewhat successful in driving the stockmarket up, but I don't believe that his words will cause those people who bought cars at zero percent interest rates to go out and buy another car. I don't think it will cause people to go out an get another home equity loan with which they can go out and buy more stuff. And I don't think it will cause capex spending to increase for telecom companies that are being flushed down the toilet.

And isn't it convenient that he has ignored his earlier statement about the necessity of energy costs remaining low for the recovery to hold...oil prices are up 25% since then.
