Concurrent (CCUR) 7.47 -0.33: --Morning Note-- Thomas Weisel downgrades to MKT PERFORM from Attractive in light of worse than expected video-on-demand pricing environment and emergence of nCube as a potential legitimate third vendor in the space. Firm decreases video-on-demand revs ests to $68 mln from $80 mln for FY03 and EPS to $0.06 from $0.09 and new market dynamics should impact CCUR's results. Firm remains positive on growth potential for video-on-demand market as a whole going forward, but with understanding that lower than expected price per streams will impact market size projections. Rating change reflects cautiousness on CCUR's valuation in light of lower growth rates.

TranSwitch (TXCC) 3.27 -0.10: -- Before Open -- Pacific Growth Equities initiates coverage with a Market Perform. Like many of its peers, TXCC suffered substantial revenue decline during 2001 due to downturn in telecom market. Although most telecom carriers plan to further reduce capital spending in 2002, firm believes many comm IC vendors, including TXCC, should resume sequential growth this year, driven initially by inventory replenishment, followed by resumption of end market demand. In firm's opinion, TXCC's focus on carrier access market, which firm believes could recover sooner than optical long haul market, along with its breadth of end-to-end product offering, position company well for an eventual recovery.
