Paul, Re: AMDroid imagination of typical customer:

" OH OH OH _ there are SO MANY Intel-based products to choose from - inexpensive, moderatley expensive and very expensive as well as modest performance - average performance and the highest performance !!""

OH OH OH - My Head is swimming !!!

I'll just by an AThWIper system instead - whatever that is!!"

Paul, the formula is quite simply, really. They have a predefined conclusion, and whatever happens to back that conclusion up becomes fact. End of story.

Paul, ok, where did I even suggest that AMD would get an advantage out of the situation? I was merely stating a fact. Even someone like me, experienced with hardware, would have a hard time choosing a product. I think the major confusion will arise from the fact that banias might be clocked equally or higher than the p4 and may even have higher IPC. ( just a guess ).

Paul,

re: AMDroids always invoke "Customer confusion" whenever Intel provides a broad array of CPUs to cover a wide range of Performance vs. Price Points.

And AMD makes decisions crystal clear for the consumer by rating their products with an arbitrary model number scheme.

The confused consumer must be the explanation for why no one has an auto in this country. After all, there must be over a 100 to choose from.
