Paul, a number of articles said there was support at 290 so it is disturbing. As it started to drop below 292 I picked up some XAU April 60 puts as a sort of hedge. I don't know what the best hedge would have been but I figured XAU puts were better than nothing.

Anyone know what a good general gold hedge would have been? TIA

Paul,
Those fickle Japanese sold 500K oz TOCOM:

biz.yahoo.com

G7 meeting and Bush weekend, looks like it was a strategy session to save Japanese mark to market.

Dew is off the golden rose till later it would appear but the dollar has dropped also. I'm down to about 25% XAU/HUI stocks, I'll be watching for a rebound, don't know when.

Hoff is nice though, yellow gold to black gold, ggg.

Best Regards,

Roebear

Paul,

You may think that I am too bullish on gold, but I believe that this is just the commercials running the stops on the specs.... their favorite game. <g> I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to sell all my FGX at yesterday's top and have so much cash (relatively) for bargain hunting. I will wait a while longer before I buy in bulk... still nibbling. The dollar fell through support... a lower low with no higher high... very bullish for gold.

test.crbindex.com@DX.1

I think that this will be a great setup for the next leg... turn gold sentiment bearish, etc.

Just my opinion,

vt

Hi Paul. Good to see HOFF joining the party.

KEG, TESOF and now PDE have already had powerful blast off moves, and may be ready for some consolidation.

OSX hit 101.55 today before fading late to close at 98.76. This run has been even more powerful than I expected. But, we should be seeing some backing and filling to digest recent gains and lay the ground for the next let up.

And wow! What can be said about the XNG?! Pure Bull Power, period.

Classic "volume thrust" patterns showing up on some of these gasser charts. That kind of momentum does NOT end quickly, people. Quick sharp dips should be expected. But my read continues bullish. Long, strong and going higher.

Dips should be used to initiate or add to positions. That's what I'll be doing<g>

Won't have much posting time tomorrow. But will try to touch base here.

Nite all.
