as saying Christians had the foresight, the wisdom to penetrate and eventually control the auto industry along with their friends in the oil industry to make sure that we use cars that remain extremely inefficient. ******************************************************************* That wasn't nearly as clever as cornering the market on communication to over 250M population. The oil & auto industries pay them to include advertising in their latest miserable(usually) movie. That's fine since the world needs to be reminded now & then to be on guard against bigotry.

I don't think it's a matter of foresight. Hollywood grew out of the nickelodeon "industry" and most of the businessmen who started the industry were Jews. Sort of like the manufactured clothing industry. I think a large part of the people who started that and the retail businesses that grew from it were also Jews. A lot of coincidence involved - being at the place and time and being ready and willing to start something new. Now, why are so many Greeks in the restaurant business? And why do so many hotels and motels have Indian owners?
