WBMW, no amount of rules or moderation will ever work if the participants are not willing to moderate themselves. More restrictions will only shackle those who don't deserve it. Meanwhile the flamers will continue to flame without violating the letter of the restrictions. The McCarthyism that the AMDroids pursue is a great example. Of course, I'm preachin' to the choir here on the INTC thread, where "moderation" is best left to the Ignore function. I ought to post this to the Mod AMD thread, but it's futile to reason with a bunch of close-minded hypocrites. Tenchusatsu EDIT: Actually, the McCarthyism should be classified as a "personal attack," but it seems that thread lets you get away with it as long as you only do it once or twice a day. Must be one of those unwritten escape clauses that the AMDroids came up with.
