I thought I'd brainstorm some things they could say on the call:

(upside surprise) "The V880 and E15K are selling like hotcakes and more than making up for remaining pockets of weakness. With a bit of luck, this quarter should break even or be slightly positive, advancing by one quarter the return to profitability."

(downside surprise) "The Enron debacle has added a layer of weakness to an already iffy quarter. We're pushing out our estimate of when profitability will be achieved to some time in 2003, and beginning a review of whether the company is appropriately sized for this economy."

(steady as she goes) "Challenges remain, but we are executing according to plan. Pockets of both strength and weakness exist, and we're trying to capitalize on the former while minimizing the impact of the latter. Barring unforeseen events, we anticipate a return to profitability in the June quarter."

I'm guessing there won't be any big surprises, either positive or negative. We'll know soon enough.

JMHO.

I agree with you. If you buy today and sell tomorrow you can make a bundle. I don't advocate selling.
