Intel's updated guidance calls for revenues from $6.6 b to $6.9 b, which should be mildly disappointing compared with expectations of 6.7-7.0.

I stand corrected then. One thing sounds strange is "the short term probability of exercise." Unless you are talking about maturing option the cost generated would be completely without any logic.
re: Essentially, in the money options are included and out of the money options are not included.
that is even stranger, the options that are issued on the money would make reporting of eps hard as options would float in and out of the money.
