>>CPQ, what do you think about going long until March 19th<<
Interesting idea. I see the powers to be trying to keep HWP proped up to get the vote. They will try to show the stock price movement as a postive indication that shareholders like the deal. I think it will take awhile for the shareholder votes to come in. The CPQ /HWP spread is still far apart in relative terms. Here is an article that is good about the trade you mention. Longer term I think HWP is dead money because of the uncertainty whether they can pull off a successful merger. FWIW, I was on Hewlett's side. I think it's a bad deal for HWP shareholders.

One problem appears is that everyone is thinking about the same trade. Big money has a way of taking money away from the little guy when that happens. LOL!

>>>I thougth it would be a "nice trade to get in at 19 and get out at 21 by the end of the day, <<

Scape, that is obvious. If you reread my post you will see that I said that I could see daytrading it or other biotech's. My point was for longer term (more than a day). Personally I find bio's hard to daytrade because they don't track tick, trin or futures as well as other tech stocks. With all the other stocks out there that do I find it better daytrade them. Position trades on Biotech's is closer to gambling in my opinion unless you know the sciences damn well and have close to inside information. SEPR is a little different today because of the volatility will offer some attractive bounces (maybe). I will still chose to stay away. Rory got it right. In and out for a scalp.

As I said before, a review of my past trades showed problems with "ME" trying to trade them. Good luck on your attempts. All you need is a few winners to get you "hooked".
