ECMN has 12.6m shares outstanding with a market cap of $1.6M .... total revenue in 2000 was 9.3m and it lost 3.5m net.

From its 11/14/01 qtrly report:
The Company announced that operating results for the combined entities, excluding depreciation and amortization of intangibles, realized a loss from operations of $115,000, or 1 cent a share, down $135,000 for the quarter ended September 30, 2001, compared to earnings of $20,000, or less than 1 cent per share for the prior comparable quarter. Revenue was $2,221,000, down $318,000 or 12.5% for the quarter ended September 30, 2001 compared to revenue of $2,539,000 for the prior comparable quarter. For the quarter ended September 30, 2001, the operating results reflected the general weakness in the overall equity market and the negative effects of September 11.

Including depreciation and amortization of intangibles, the Company reported a net loss of $503,000 or 4 cents a share, up $171,000 for the quarter ended September 30, 2001 compared to a reported net loss of $332,000, or 3 cents a share for the prior comparable quarter.

My data indicates 18.1% is controlled by institutions, with 1/3 of that being Chapman Capital Mgt.
nasdaq.com`&symbol=ECMN`&selected=ECMN&FormType=Institutional

Considering that Mr. Chapman is a very successful businessman and the absurd valuations in many other publicly traded companies..... and that many of the institutions are lowering their holdings, there's not much more to read into it.

If anything, because of its black & minority emphasis, I'd say it's underfunded, relatively speaking.
