Whatever the problem, they're going to hear from me. I'm pretty p*ssed. They're supposed to know about this stuff, for gosh sakes. Judging from the comments on the Yahoo! message board, we're not the only ones having trouble.

I don't remember having such serious problems in the past, and I think the software on this end is the same as it was, so I'm going to assume somebody at Sun c*cked up.

Edit: I just realized that's not quite true. I have hit "Windows Update" since the last time it worked well. Hopefully Sun will archive the talk; if they do, I'll try it on both this PC and a Sun box and see if the problem is PC-specific. Not to be paranoid or anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft changed something that "broke" the Java applet.
