the Republicans attacked Clinton for sending troops to Bosnia
as well.
********************************************************

If you're referring to someone like Bob Barr, he attacks everyone....it's just his nature. He, Dick Armey & Trent Lott are attack dogs.....they're an embarrassment to reasonable conservatives. The Democrats have equally rabid politicos on their side of the aisle. The entire black caucus condemns every move Pres Bush makes the day before he even announces his plans.

No CREDIBLE Republican attacked Pres Clinton's action in Bosnia. That's one of the prinicpal differences I've discerned between the two parties. The Repubs are reticent to criticize any sitting President when it comes to military action. They realize we must present a united front to our enemy if we hope to defeat them.

Whereas, the liberal media acts like a research effort on behalf of the enemy......asking for strategic plans & positions of the troops from the Secy of Defense on national TV. Rummy handles them with aplomb though.....they even feel affection for him. Maybe the Repubs should consider running Rummy for President when GW finishes his 2nd term. Unfortunately, Rumsfeld will be ready for the retirement home by then. He has turned out to be a splendid Secy of Defense.
