Re: Here is another article that gives one pause w/ respect to RMBS

John, the 850 is an expensive, dual channel board, while the 845 it's being compared to is an inexpensive, single channel board.

Intel is replacing the dual RDRAM sockets on its expensive, dual channel boards with dual DDR sockets - Rambus is being dropped from the roadmap and from Intel's lineup.

Intel had to drop all of its single channel Rambus boards because Rambus memory is too slow, it needs two channels to compete with one DDR channel - unsurprisingly, two mediorce performing rambus channels are a litte better than one high performing DDR channel.

But Intel is replacing dual channel Rambus with dual channel DDR.
