AMD badly needs a good DDR notebook chipset

I agree. I don't quite understand it. Any company with a winning low cost solution could dominate the AMD chipset business. With Intel, if you have the winning low cost solution... you get sued. If AMD can't get an appropriate chipset matched with their .13um mobile chip in a high end featured notebook from at least two OEMs, I think they simply never will. I guess the question is how much of this is AMD's fault and how much is due to Intel strong arm tactics. If AMD sold these chips at pure desktop prices with the only specification that they must be featured in at least one high end business and one high end retail laptop, would the OEMs comply?

I am concerned how much of a delay will there be from notebook launch to desktop / MP.

Me too. And if they offer nothing in the way of improvements and can't go smaller that 80mm2, it will be from a processing point of view a large disappointment.
