I'm sure UMC figures they are a bigger scam artist than MAD and that they will stick it to MAD when push comes to shove.

After all, UMC are REAL MEN - they will have the fab !!

As far as I know, the UMC deal does not include AMD getting half the production of the AU Pte Ltd. fab just for providing the technology.

BTW, I think AMD's biggest objection is that Fujitsu isn't just wanting AMD to make good on their loan guarantee, but to make good on it before the loan is even due.
