The whole point is... it doesn't freakin matter! Who cares how many new 'goodies' there are to buy. Why don't we go back and try to value the productivity of washers and dryers and all sorts of other appliances going back a couple hundred years and restate inflation, GNP, etc???? Why? CAUSE IT DOESNT FREAKIN MATTER!! You don't need to print more money to buy more products!!! Prices of substitutes can simply go down. The whole thing is silly... it's a bunch of dismal scientists toiling away in the basement on something that is irrelivant just for the sake of theoretical numbers.
