This group and other sizable portions of the public are loyal to their parent's, social circle's, community's, Nation's, etc etc etc value system. Whether it is from the right, left, or middle. I have seen here on SI how proud parents are when reporting the activities of their children; representing them as being free thinkers because the kiddos challenge the system in one way or another. It is quite obvious, however, that the children of such are typically simply reflecting the values system their parents have nurtured. To question prayer in school when you are being raised in an athiest house hold or visa versa does not make you a free thinker. This is not a demonstration of free thinking IMO. I stroooonly support children being loyal to parental values BTW. However, I see the same thing in the adults that I know who are outspoken about their position on the political/values/etc continuum. Turns out, the daily life of most is an exact reflection of what their culture nurtured them to be while growing up. It was not being a free thinker to stand up and speak out against white males in the 90's, it was the cultural swing and hip thing to do, it was popular. The brain dead are easy to mold and move in mass. yehaa It is my opinion that most people move through life without examining their own values system. The path of least resistance (emotionally) is to robotically support all of the stuff, agendas, politics, and ideas that you were raised to support and resist the ones that contend with this. This is why I choose to view this universe as being one with purpose rather than one that just is. To have purpose founded on principle is to continually struggle with the challenges to maintain purpose. In other words, its much easier to just have an ice cream cone on the third day of your diet than continue trying to find ways to improve or maintain your good health.
