Getting emails from other people fine,...just stockwatch having the problem in the morning the last two days.

It's not quite that simple, unfortunately, although it would suggest that the problem is not with your ISP.

Today it is working fine. Normally I have 20-50 emails from stockwatch between 6-10am ET.

LOL...that's more than I get. well, close to it, at least.

The last two days, those early morning e-mails have been dumped at 2:30pm and 4:30 pm repectively, even though I could see some of them by clicking on the individual stocks in my portfolio.

I have had that happen several times, over the past few years. Some times, it's my ISP. Some times, although rarely, it's Stockwatch, or whatever other outfit that is doing the sending. In Stockwatch's case, they are really good about putting a notice up on their status board about such matters -- although the real benefit of putting up a notice saying "our site is down" does escape me. ;-)

I'm with sympatico high speed. I received emails from other people during these times, but as you say, it is quite possible that sympatico was experiencing a problem at the precise moment when stockwatch did their normal early morning dumps (6-10 am). emails from stockwatch throughout the day were coming through though.

Could be, but the problem could be somewhere between the two. That's the most frustrating of all. I have tested this frequently, by emailing myself several times from one ISP to another, in rapid succession.

Nothing. Then one arrives. Then another about 30 minutes later, or two hours later. Two hours larer, another. A few may go missing, although that's relatively rare.

If I miss it again in the morning, could I phone stockwatch to get them to manually resend the early morning dump of emails? I guess someone or something clicked at the stockwatch office at 2:30 or 4:30pm the last two days to get them to resend the emails after they realized the morning dump failed for whatever reason.

I'm not so sure, since my "early morning dump" seemed A-OK. Why not give them a call in any case, since it's a concern to you. Getting a handle on what the problem is or might me would likely be of benefit to you both.

Tell Gerry I still love him (ggggggggggg)

Hey Gerry! Got your ears on?
