Re. Has ML recommended a sell at the bottom of the market, after recommending buy at the top?

Almost invariably in my observation.

I have to agree with some of your points and would like to add a couple. I say these ML guys are out to show someone that CIEN is no longer a threat. Why would they do that? Anyway, barring the fact that, how many optical companies are on the ropes, CIEN is the worst! Give me a long break. Nortel, Lucent, and what did they say - legacy here is the leader. Yeah!

That's why long haul was plowed into the ground like seeds. Metro next and Alcatel and whomever is going to take out CIEN. Do these guys make predictions too?

This is the kind of report that you throw out with the bathwater. It's rare that an analyst will slap a "sell" sticker on a stock but this reduce/sell is horses**t. Okay they're overvalued. So what. Yeah as Jack says, if the stock price plunges, I'm buying.

And if I can make a prediction, I say that CIEN will do better than that report. Always like to read science fiction.
