Why should we be privy to His motives? You are expressing distaste for the idea that normally one has to wait until the afterlife to settle matters. That is as much as expression of sensibility as my preference for those terms over nothing. It is a mistake to think you are being more objective and realistic......

So God is either powerful but uninspired to help or God is caring but helpless to aid the misfortunate. Or there may no God at all.
