grew up on a farm and couldn't remember having an adult cat I grew up on a farm. We started with 2 female cats but quickly had a pride of about a dozen with perhaps another dozen kittens at any given time. The matriarch was still living when I went to college as was one which had lost a foot as a kitten and stayed close to home. The rest died and were replenished at a rate that kept the population at about a dozen. I don't have the necessary space for that large an assortment in the city. TP
