For 80% or so of it's recorded history the Catholic Church's official policy was that the soul was invested into the new human life at birth... could care less what the Catholic church says about that...they are not God, they are men. I care what "thus sayeth the Lord" says. I have given you several examples of research that does not depend on Embryonic research. That is where our money should be spent. NOT creating life just to destroy it to make your life better or longer. What happens if they find out that the cells of a 3 year old girl will cure cancer in adults, but you have to kill the child to get at the cells...your miserable life worth that too? growing a blastocyte.....explain that. where is the "material" coming from. My views are no slippery slope. My views are abortion is murder...I hold the same view for having embryonic farms. I have the same view for selling aborted baby parts. It is an abomination. I do not have to worry about sliding down that slope, because my view is prolife. I don't have to have a bunch of ifs and buts in my sentence.
