May 15th report came out May 18th. Market topped for the year two trading days later than that? Hmmm.

A few notes/differences, of course. That was a report during options expiration week and the decline after that was pretty slow for a handful of weeks. Doesn't make March puts look real good. Also different -- the market hadn't really rallied hard into May 15th, though it did rally nicely after the 15th.

Hard to believe the Commercials are net shorter the S+P here than they were 100 points higher less than a year ago. If they truly are the smart money, something's wrong with the recovery soooooon idea. Also, the lack of negativity on the NDX might speak to sector rotation coming? Maybe the Naz will keep rallying for a spring romp with the Dow/S+P lagging until they all come down at once? Or something else entirely. Hell, it's Friday. I don't know. I'll ask Freeplet when he gets home.
