IIRC, that was the "official excuse" given by some spokesperson for AMD.

As far as the K6-III and other "stockpiles"...... I've learned that if they got it, they'll ship it, If they ain't shippin' it, it ain't ready.
1.3nm and Hammer shippin'...it ain't ready. No way there is a stockpile...especially when Northwood can up to 2400 Mhz fairly easy...
Soon even PR will find AMD behind 300 points and AMD still MIA at retail. Gonna be a long year...
AMD will be lucky to get to .13u a year after Intel...
