Actually, AB 1890 passed unanimously. :)

I had originally thought it was unanimous but I was not sure so erred on the side of caution with my "with very little dissent".

I hope my point is taken. This is a very frustrating episode in Ca. because it was ALL avoidable. I think we can agree the situation is a confluence of corporate greed, enabled by inept/paidoff public (read "self")-servants.

I think the Davis/Edison racket is a much stronger case than Bush/whomever. I swear I recall Davis PSA's assuring us we'd see NO RATE HIKES because he was on the case (when everyone but my 6 yr. old knew this was not possible) days before we went from .07 kwh to .10 kwh. Edison did not go BK like PGE because they knew he was paid for.
