Only had enough time to talk to Diamondex, Twin Mining and Southernera. I hope I accurately represented what I discussed and learned today. My first stop, by chance, was Diamondex. I talked to a nice blonde representative, Caroline I think…..but first I want to go back to my last post on DSP #reply-17168090 where I said "Its been a long time since I've seen a caustic fusion result with no microdiamond count." I learned today that I was wrong. Diamondex did report the microdiamond results. There was only one, ONE microdiamond to report on, that is, along with one “macro.” I guess I missed something. Or expected more. I asked if Randy’s past success and probable new wealth is distracting him from the diamond hunt, and I was assured he was as motivated as ever. I didn’t get all warm and fuzzy about their near term future … not much in the pipe for “new hope” news releases. I think there are better places to park money now. JMHO. Perhaps a bottom fish of the future?? Next stop turned out to be Twin Mining. Roswitha Derbuch greeted me, and we had a nice discussion for what seemed like half an hour, and she gave me her full attention the whole time. I asked about the diamonds that were evaluated last summer. There was some discussion as to if all the diamonds were evaluated. Roswitha said ALL the diamonds from Jackson Inlet were evaluated by N.V. … they asked if they could see them, so they were shown them at Lakefield, I think. They gave TWG a copy of the internal memo they had written, which was posted on Twins web site. The surprising thing I learned, was that of all the diamonds recovered, NONE were considered boart. Boart free. That’s a very good thing. And a fact, for now… I asked about the Jade “Corridor”, why doesn’t TWG just snap it all up?? The answer was that based on EM surveys of the WHOLE Jade “Corridor” and I assume other parts of the peninsula, TWG has picked the areas that they feel possessed the best prospects. The land left over is available to anyone who wants to stake it. But, it’s too dark now to stake land, and the cost of helicopter service makes staking more land too costly. A staking rush is coming to the Brodeur Peninsula real soon!! Saw a claims map that showed Debeers has taken a huge land position to the southeast of Twin. Roswitha said they were looking forward to having neighbours! Roswitha also showed me a graphic of a kimberlite emplacement, and explained that the pipes on nearby Sommerset Island were nearly completely eroded, while the pipes at Freightrain are likely not as old, and have nearly all of the original emplacement kimberlite in place. Huge volumes of kimberlite are implied for the anomalies in their claims. I touched on the gold properties. I asked what their market value would be, in terms of share price. Three years ago it was about 50 cents. Today its lower, but I didn’t get a better estimate. Before I left, I let her know my handle, and she recognized it. I guess someone is reading the threads, FYI! The results will be out no sooner that a week from now. Its clear to me that if the results are in line with the diamond distribution and grade for all existing samples, Twins share price will be going much higher. I don’t think it’s unlikely that the results will be a big disappointment. There is a fair chance that we will be surprised on the upside. They have their sights set on mining in 2005. Caught the tail end of the investors exchange forum panel discussion with John Kaiser, Bob Bishop and Rick Rule. A question from the audience – “What are your top three picks?” …sorry wasn’t taking notes, but I did here 2 votes for Majescor. JK mentioned TAH too. (give me a break!). One interesting pick was for some kinda water trust in California; he said “none of us would want to invest in this…” he said. It sounded quite interesting. Was anyone else there? Maybe 40 people there. Herman Derbuch showed up, first time I ever saw the man. Was carrying a stack of TWG annual reports, busy on many things it seemed. That’s all that’s coming from the grey matter tonight.
