Eugene, I agree with your analysis, i.e., retrace necessary next week but not deep enough to derail the nascent up trend. However, IMO T/A is unfortunately POWERLESS in many cases to call trend turns (it works well in identifying major bottoms in most cases when VIX hits 40+ etc. but it's harder to call most tops and even many bottoms with less discernible signs.) Trend turns after a multi-week run either up or down are the KEY info IMO. I think Larry D's Hal computer program is quite good in calling turns but anytime you call a turn a whipsaw possibility exists with a chance of perhaps 50%. Zeev is also very proficient in calling turns with the help of some F/A. All in all, 60-70% accuracy in multi-week trend turn calls is probably the most one can hope for and certainly sufficient to realize outsize profits in the markets. All IMHO as usual. BTW Eugene, insights into your analysis based on your years of market experience should be of great interest to this thread.
