It's really hard to argue when you have Palestinians coming in as walking weapons and killing people. On the other hand I think its time for Israel to make some decisions. This game of killing 20 for the loss of 10 just isn't working. I would have long ago eliminated the Palestinians as an issue. That said - Israel has a reputation that we have helped to build. They have nuclear technology that we supplied them and could wipe out any Middle Eastern country with ease. Thats where we come in. We upset the balance of power in the region during the cold war. Russia backed the Arabs (with the exception of a couple (Iran and Saudi Arabia) and we backed Israel. Since we armed Israel better, should they decide to glaze a Nation, right or wrong we take some of the blame. Does that mean they should live in fear and not retaliate? No. But it is a concern and IMO it's the main reason we fund them. It gives us some political pull to keep them from wiping their neighbors off the planet.
