What is the weekend news, they concluded the deal with Hynix? The extra $200 MM in advances debt) from the creditors is certainly no "substantial", the rest of the deal is well known in the market, so I would expect selling on the news rather than MU going ballistic. That does not change my long term scenario II figure of $80/saher mind you, but that will be later, and IMTO, MU will retest the low $30' before that.

From Dram Exchange:
SEOUL -- The No. 2 Korean government official Thursday scoffed at speculation that Hynix Semiconductor Inc. could survive on its own without a deal with a foreign rescuer, such as Micron Technology. Deputy Prime Minister Nyum Jin said both in a radio talk show and in the Korean press that hopes that rising DRAM prices right now could allow Hynix to continue as an independent company "are misguided."

I think it's a done deal and MU will pop when it's announced but I agree that may be the time to think about shorting. The only risky aspect of shorting this bad boy is the upward dram prices. Those dram price increases go right to the bottom line.
