I also pointed out that the P4 notebooks that were actually available in stores were using desktop parts and speculated that Intel's motivation for doing a paper launch was to slow down the spread of notebooks using non-mobile P4s.

Pre-Book your order Now!" athome.compaq.com Seems like your links don't stand up against the ones from Dell, IBM, Toshiba, and Compaq. They are offering Pentium 4-M based notebooks right now; therefore, there doesn't seem to be any indication of either a paper launch, nor a rush to market. Your links don't stand up, and Dan's do. Perhaps apology to Dan is in order, apology for posting (and re-posting several times) wrong information about P4 not being a paper launched - when by most indications P4 launch is a paper launch. Joe
