Even myth can lead humanity to higher levels of conduct.

Whether Jesus, Moses, Muhammed, or Abraham existed does not subtract from the messages and deeds they are reported to have spoken or done, except when it applies to taking other's land based on these myths.

Perhaps myth-making is a faith in itself.
