Rich, I've been doing some turn around work for a friend in the same business in one of ther toughest, most dangerous neighborhoods in So. Cal. I had a customer tell me recently that I was endangering myself by being "too nice" to people. I asked him to explain and he said, "In this neighborhood nice folks don't last long". This was the first time I'd ever been admonished for being nice so still not understanding, I asked him to expand. "He says, your people will tell ya about Ms. Chang." Seems Ms. Chang owned the little grocery store across the street. Everyone in the neighborhood loved cause she would treat everyone real nice, liberal credit terms, kept her prices low, and stocked what folks in the neighborhood wanted. Last year 2 guys met her at the door in the morning and took the $500 she was taking into the store, stuck a 357 1 foot from her face, and pulled the trigger 2 times. BLEW HER HEAD TO SMITHEREENS DUDE! Not everyone can be talked to rich.
