Any thing is possible ,but if Canada ,part of the Commonwealth of Great Brittan, did develope the bomb how did america gain full controll over it?
Also, there was no CIA at that time I believe.

Eric, anyone who was authorized to view the shipment of ore was not authorized to speak about it. If you knew something about it and you were not supposed to, you kept your mouth shut.

However there are a few who will talk about it now.

Uranium has been produced from two main areas in Saskatchewan. The initial discovery and development of uranium deposits occurred in the Beaverlodge District, on the north shore of Lake Athabasca. Prospectors searching for gold and copper first noted uranium mineralization there in the early 1930s. When uranium's significance became apparent in 1944, extensive prospecting in the Beaverlodge area resulted in the establishment of the Uranium City mining camp. In the 1950s, 16 ore bodies and three separate milling facilities were developed in the Uranium City area. Production continued until 1982
