Now thats something I dont agree with ...

I tend to be some what skeptical when it comes to fighting wars across the world with our own troops let alone pushing our foreign policy on others. Example vietnam war.

When the WTC got 'bombed' and there needed to be something done. I was also skeptical about how Bush and his administration would handle it. So far it seems as if things havnt gone too bad; and luckily many countries didnt oppose the moves the US did over there. But we are walking on a thin tightrope when it comes to foreign policy right now.

I think some people forget that we might be the strongest country in the world right now but we sure are not the biggest and nor can we survive on our own.

Aggressive posturing with nuclear weapons is Not the thing to do. Many people get up in arms about the japanese bombing of pearl harbor with the loss of ~3,500 people. While a tragedy and an important thing to remember. Do you know that over 350,000 have died as the result of those 2 nuclear devices dropped on japan during WWII. And nuclear devices have come a long way since then; today a small nuclear device could kill millions and cause terminal radiation damage to millions more.

Have you ever watched the movie 13 days? Can you imagine if there were 2 aggreesive kids with guns those days and what would have happened to the world?

When I was growing up there was Always a generalized fear about the use of nuclear weapons. They were used as defensive posturing. Luckily we never got into a 'fight' with the former U.S.S.R. and used nuclear devices.

China's army far outnumbers our military army; while we might be technologically more advanced; I know they have much more capabilities then the afghans have. We have been on thin ice when it comes to relations with China; only recently has things 'seemed' some what more congenial between our two countries. I really dont think we want China to go on the offensive with us. Suggesting that we might with them (if need be) will just fuel their offensive back.

While I dont feel people should be able to 'push' us around I feel more 'peacful' alternatives then nuclear warefare need to be looked at First. Also I dont feel peace at any cost is a good thing either; we all remember WWII and how everyone let the germans build back up after WWI.

well that's my rant for the day

Sean

unfortunately our elected representatives are bought and paid for by special interest groups and big business to such an extent that they have gotten into the habit of selling out our sovereignty for political and economic benefit. now when our leaders attempt even reasonable steps to reclaim our lost sovereignty people howl that we are going to offend everyone and they will retaliate. we are the ones who need to retaliate; we are the ones being taken to the cleaners.

we have no one to blame but ourselves.
