SBC did not announce on Friday, that they would "pump more $ into DSL."

SBC announced on THURSDAY the following:

"Targeted having more than 2 million DSL Internet access service subscribers at year-end 2002, a more than 50 percent year-over-year increase. SBC is poised to compete even more effectively and vigorously when the regulatory requirements and costs become more certain for all data/broadband providers."

There is no indication as to how much growth is coming from DSL existing infrastructure, or from expenditures levels previously announced. Remember, SBC previously stated that there would be a reduction in DSL expenditures.

In any event, the SBC press release did not say anything about increasing DSL expenditure levels. STOP MAKING UP THINGS THAT ARE FACTUALLY INCORRECT!!!!

By the way zo, you use the word pomp, the word is PUMP!
