"Why does the "right" always equate protecting yourself with mutually assured destruction? Where is the evidence that NY or DC is going to be nuked. Why not LA, Chicago, Dallas? Or the whole lot of them". Because it works!Review your history from Oct.1963 to 1989.The evidence of N.Y.or D.C.being nuked was painfully presented on 9/11.alQueda always tries to hit you again.Based again on past history.That shadow government and bunker duty in D.C. is obviously there for a very good reason.

Evidence? I hear there's a shortage of that dating back to September. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but I'm convinced that the growing plans for military action around the globe cannot be sustained in our free society without more secret evidence delivered to the public, instead of hearsay and circumstantial stuff. Most importantly, if we really do have something special to proclaim about our country, we should insist upon some demonstrable proof of all the claims being made. I well recognize that some information sources may dry up if stuff gets revealed. But if some stuff doesn't get revealed, we risk blind obedience to an unknown master, and the lives of the guys in the frontlines for an uncertain reason. This is the US, damn it, and we have a right to expect no less.
