These sorts of things don't seem to affect gold at all. But I hope it causes Blair huge problems at home, except that the militant forces in the US and UK will try to scare the life out of everyone and in the end they'll go along like pussycats no doubt. I'll be in the UK around the time of the Blair/Bush meeting so it will be interesting to be there. He's being widely portrayed as a puppet and patsy already.
