my preference for tips is threefold; 1) consistent inflation adjusted income, 2) backed by the full faith and credit of the US Government, 3) reaper likes 'em -g-

look, i don't own treasuries. i follow them and some day i will. right now, trading is more profitable and my mindset is comfortable with the risk. at some point in my life, i will need to decrease the risk i carry.

admittedly, i don't know anything about high grade foreign bonds. personally, i feels safer with US Government Treasuries than i do with international bonds.
