Zeev,
I was just discussing the fact that the new stimulus package reduces the amount of taxes that the gov't would collect to the tune of 96B. I have also been speculating for a while that tax revenues to the gov't have to have decreased significantly in the past two years. The mania years were a great windfall for the gov't and the gov't infrastructure no doubt grew in response. But as some on the PTT thread have mentioned, it isn't likely that we are going to see big cutbacks in gov't jobs. Couple that with the cost of being at war and I don't see the numbers coming down.

I am not sure of the reaction. The news my be discounted for a while, but the current market psychology makes it hard to predict.
