I can see why Gonzaga might be a tad disappointed. However, the actual seeding matters very little. Whichever teams win their next two games advance. Those that don't are kaput. The West region is very strong, as on paper, any of the 1 to 6 seeds could conceivably end up in the Final Four. That would include Gonzaga, though they might need a little help to do it.

The biggest outrage I saw, was Oregon getting a #2 seed behind Kansas. The Jayhawks have a virtual cakewalk to the Final Four.

Oh well... Time to start researching and making picks...

That's probably because the committee puts a lot of stock in the computer rpi. Gonzaga probably has a weak schedule compared to most teams in the power conferences.
