UConn was ranked 24th in the nation prior to the Big East Tournament. They got a #2 seed. Pittsburgh, the team they beat in double OT with Pitt's star player hurt, #6 in the country, got a #3 seed. Wow. Yet I'd rather play Cal or Penn in the second round, as Pitt will (assuming they can beat CT's other team, CCSU-- Central CT State U), than NC State or Michigan State, as UConn will. As much as I follow the Big East, I'm shocked six teams made it from there.
