I thought you were "manufacturing" a friendship out of some posts made to CH out of principle. The "fact" of a friendship was what I "thought" you manufactured. That you did not do it knowingly (in your own mind anyway) doesn't really have anything to do with making something that did not exist out of nothing. I think I would be the one to know whether a friendship existed, yes? And I can tell you, no friendship exists between me and anyone who posted today- except for one person who posted once (and this is friendship on MY side- I cant' say whether they are friends with me, but I think they are). I can't remember who posted yesterday, but I'm pretty sure no "friends" of mine posted. There are maybe 6 people I would call "friends" on SI. And for the most part they do not post here. So if you see me talking to anyone, ever, you can just assume we're not friends. That is probably safest. And I will correct you nicely if it is an issue, and if we are. ok?
