you obviously missed Dan Rather bashing the pentagon and the white house by taking comments from front line troops out of context recently

Rich, That's called supporting those who are fighting for you and not aiding & abetting the enemy by providing useful information to them. You're probably aware what a dismal job the press did during the Vietnam war....we don't want to let down our courageous troops again, do we. The press receives as much information as possible without compromising the safety of the military. During wartime more stringent rules are necessary if we want to achieve our goal.
