The Mayor had an emergency center in one of the buildings. After 9/11, I read that he
had kept the fuel above ground for some time and there were complaints because it was dangerous.
I believe there were thousands of gallons of diesel fuel. Eventually, the fuel was buried.

This week the NY Times reported that it was the fuel that brought down one of the buildings.
Was there a third building? I will have to look for the Times story. I was a bit ticked off
at theTimes because it was reported as though no one had heard about this fuel b4
even though it was mentioned many times after 9/11. I often wondered if Guiliani felt
guilty because he had been warned about the dangers. Off hand, I don't recall
other information.
