Oh well, but in war, the good, bad and ugly are all mixed together, and the bullets, bombs and searing heat and radiation are ever so impersonal.

In the "controversial" tape that was aired, OBL's justification was to the effect that, as most/all of those people in the twin towers were Christians/Westerners, they were "guilty" in one way or another and so deserved to die.

Oh well, self-justifications and self-rationalizations abound everywhere every time!

Don't forget that action and reaction is a law of the universe, and that one can beget the other in a never-ending series. Could it be that this law prompted the Man from Galilee to say 2000 years ago, "Love thy neighbor as you love thyself" and "Forgive your enemies"?

Maybe 9/11 is putting all true Christians to the test? If so, what an unfair and cruel test, eh? Life always seems so unfair to the innocent and helpless! I myself was dealt an unfair set of cards or so it seems.

When are we all going to be able to see the big picture of this whole damn thing? Could it be that there are cycles of existence whereby certain individuals are somehow predestined to be located at certain fateful places for their appointed time?

Just my 2-bits worth of speculation not intended to jump-start another tsunami of rage, shrieks, venomous screeches, execrations and vituperations, veiled threats and what not!!!

Interesting equation you pose - cowards? I doubt if one of those warriors would count as a coward.
