the numbers SHOULD be good; there is normally a seasonal up-tick in delinquencies and deferrals in the February / March time-frame (the story i have heard is that people will often skip their car payment in December to buy Christmas presents and then get back to being current on payments by early in the year). ACF bulls have recently dismissed the deteriorating credit picture in the securitization pool as seasonal in nature; so if it doesn't look better in the Feb report out tomorrow that kicks a big leg out from under their stool.
