the problem with PEs is they are a lagging indicator. If you look at PEs then you should look at the earnings from last peek in order to measure earnings potential not from the current slump.. Sales are less prone to swings..

This is an impression that came right from Peter Lynch textbook. He cited the PE figure as realtively meaningless in turnaround situations. If you are using PE you are always entering (and exiting !) too late.. especialyl in cyclical industries..

Well, we made a nice little run, but it wouldn't hold into the close. I had hoped for better today, but the SOX and semi-equips wanted to take a rest I guess.<gg> Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

Apparently no news tomorrow, but the during the remainder of the week there is quite a lot. Friday is a particularly big day for news.

I thought the NASDAQ finishing at about even for the day after starting out in negative territory was a good sign.
