-Color screens is a function of two major factors, color services, protocols (MMS) and mass produced,
high quality, color screens. (that market is also around the corner)

Hmmm....I think you are going to have tell the Japanese and Koreans that the color screens arent yet a mass market. Of course, they might be confused since they are seeing people buy color handsets without MMS.

Just a guess....but Japan probably sold around 40m handsets last year, all with color screens. This year, Korea could sell as many as another 10 million.

I am still hoping that the report is wrong and that Nokia will introduce some new handsets with color screens....

- Tri-Band, if it is so small, why is Motolora, Ericsson have most of their new GSM phone tri-band? NEC's new Qual-band is coming too. Not to mentioned other Asian phone maker.

- Color screen is like chicken and egg problem, Even without MMS or other service, Nokia made a good business out of logos. I think logos, screen savers and games work out to be a very good application for color screen. They just need to get going. It looks to me like there are more and more color screen phones coming. And I think Nokia without a color screen will have their lunch eaten by the end of the year.

- QCDMA is a good market. Even with fuzzy standard (another discussion) VZ & PCS are selling a lot of phones. I would like to see Nokia have a good piece of that pie.

My overall point is that Nokia have been setting the trend on handset last few years and it is really falling off the map in terms of driving handset features/size.... recently.
