That is the sign that profit warnings don't matter as much. The market is looking out into the future again..it seems. Maybe it is just seasonal effect.
It's important to remember that the warnings had their most powerful effect when the economy was downshifting from an 8.3% rate of growth down to a -1.3%. Now we're accelerating, so there will be more genuine upside surprises. There are some potential negatives out there still: The counter-measures in response to Bush's selective punitive tariffs and quotas, and some dirty corporate laundry still to be reported to the SEC. Also, auditors and rating agencies will continue their "tough love" policies in the post-Enron era.
